Consider joining the Ad Hoc ISSWSH History Committee!
The goal of the ISSWSH History Committee is to chronicle for future generations the past stories, records, reports, accounts, photographs concerning: A) ISSWSH: it’s conception, reasons, needs and goals of ISSWSH, and document highlights of key ISSWSH events including ALL annual meetings and locations, relevant Fall courses, relevant ISSWSH committee decisions, relevancy of changing meeting organizers, etc. B) Field of Woman’s Sexual Health: review stories, biographies. memoirs of significant figures in the field (Kinsey, Masters and Johnson, Kaplan, Grafenburg, LoPiccolo, etc), ISSWSH presidents (Leiblum, etc), important contributors to the field (Guay, Marinoff, Labrie, Waldinger, etc) and how they related to ISSWSH, if appropriate.
The primary method of chronicling the history will be by ISSWSH History Committee members being assigned to write review articles on selected topics that are of interest. A second method of chronicling the history will be by ISSWSH History Committee members being assigned to start a photographic album/website of historical ISSWSH events and historical events in Women’s Sexual Health. A third method of chronicling the history will be by ISSWSH History Committee members being assigned to develop an interactive historical “exhibit” that opened up event summaries, descriptions, personal reflections and pictures when you click on different parts of the timeline. Other methods will be discussed at future ISSWSH History Committee meetings
